In difficult economic times like those we are experiencing everyone is affected, but no one suffers more than those who have the least. With little political clout, local charities often get the deepest cuts when government spending is reduced. Sometimes this means that lifeline programs are eliminated, and in extreme case some charities have all their funding cut and they cease to exist.

With the help of its friends and supporters, The 200 Foundation intends to continue, and to increase whenever possible, its support of the community organizations that do so much good for those in need.
