| 2005 Grant Recipients - Jewish Family Center
Jewish Family Service of Metrowest was founded in 1979 as and information and referral service for elders. It was supported by the local Jewish community and staffed entirely by volunteers. A quarter century later, we are a comprehensive multi-service agency, responding to the evolving needs of Jewish and non-Jewish individuals and families in the Metrowest community.
Our roots are anchored in professional social work, citizen participation, volunteerism, and a commitment to finding solutions to daily challenges faced by clients and their families. Our clients reach across all ethnic, religious, economic, and generational lines.
The JFS/MW Board of Directors has always actively supported the organization with vitality and passion. Nearly 200 volunteers are involved each year, and collaborations with other agencies play a significant role.
