Welcome to The 200 Foundation

The 200 Foundation, Inc. is a group of Metrowest business and community leaders who collectively use their talent and experience to raise money for programs that assist families and individuals in a number of cities and towns. The 200 Foundation, now forty-four years old, has expanded its focus over the years, but its mission has remained the same: to provide the greatest assistance to those most in need.

The 200 Foundation raises money primarily through its two major events: the Annual Gala in June, and the Annual Golf Tournament in August. Subsequently, applications are accepted from local charities wishing to receive a grant, and all applicants are carefully screened by a committee. To receive consideration, a charity must be a recognized 401(c)(3) organization, must have sound financials, and must demonstrate that the money it receives is used prudently and for the maximum benefit of its clientele. In December of each year The 200 Foundation holds its Grants Dinner at which grants are awarded and at which some grant recipients are asked to elaborate on their organization's mission as well as the ways in which their grant money will be used.

In recent years, because of the success of its fundraising events, The 200 Foundation has increased its giving to the many local charities (food pantries, respite centers, counseling centers, and many more) which it supports. After more than four decades The 200 Foundation remains committed to and engaged with the community.

Latest News

In difficult economic times like those we are experiencing everyone is affected, but no one suffers more than those who have the least. With little political clout, local charities often get the deepest cuts when government spending is reduced. Sometimes this means that lifeline programs are eliminated, and in extreme case some charities have all their funding cut and they cease to exist.

With the help of its friends and supporters, The 200 Foundation intends to continue, and to increase whenever possible, its support of the community organizations that do so much good for those in need.
